HOLIDAY FUN IDEAS!
Every other Monday, our grandsons are with us since they don't have school on Mondays. I like to find fun things to do so they aren't on their screens too much. In the summer, we just add water. Water makes everything fun. The winter is a little more challenging. I found an Instagram account that has great ideas that don't cost a lot of money. It is called "craftmonsterz." I tried two of their ideas this week.
The first one is called "Toilet Paper Hockey". You line the table with books for a bumper, find a lid and two rolls of toilet paper. My husband put a roll of tape around the toilet paper so it wouldn't unroll. Then you hit the lid back and forth like air hockey. It was so much fun! I think even my older grandkids would like this. I will try it again at Christmas with everyone. I think the adults would even like it!
The second game was called "Dance Revolution". You tape four pieces of construction paper to the floor: yellow, blue, red and green. Then you go to Youtube on your tv and search for "tapete de movimiento". The colors will appear on the screen. The kids have to put their feet and sometimes their hands in the corresponding colors. There are different levels. The six year old loved it but the little one ended laying on the squares!! LOL. A little too old for his skillset.
I hope you can try these and let me know how it goes! Also, if you have any ideas, please share. It's going to be a long winter. LOL. It takes a village!
